IMIXRADIO started webcasting on November 27, 2002. We are currently broadcasting in Streeterville area downtown Chicago. This station plays a variety of music styles. Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz, a bit of Folk, Indie and Electro music. We have a huge collection of "Live/Concert CD's, hard to find albums, and current cd releases from your favorite classic rock and blues artists. We also support independent rock/blues, jazz, and folk artists. Also, our internet radio station features songs and tunes performed by different artists. Like Eric Clapton's "Layla", John Fahey, a slide steel guitar Folk/Blues artist did a lovely version of the tune. Harry Manx, an amazing blues artist from Canada using a lap slide guitar from India called "Mohan Veena" and his version of Jimi Hendrix "Foxey Lady" is remarkably beautiful, A fantastic "Live" performance by Jimi Hendrix from his BBC sessions CD of Leiber/Stoller's song "Hound Dog" and John Lennon's version from Various Artists"Tribute To the King" CD, are truly an enjoyable versions you will hear ( "Hound Dog",popularized by Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard).

The John Earl Walker Band are very highly talented and veteran musicians from New York City, which the band demonstrated on their newly released CD titled “I’m Leavin You". Tracks uploaded are “I Put You First”, "I’m Leavin’ You", and "My First Guitar". A Hendrix and Mayall feeling kind of music on some tracks with superb guitar playing. “My First Guitar” is my favorite track. I had fun moments listening to this track over and over again. Good melody, great songwriting, singing, and excellent guitar playing techniques, rhythmic patterns, tempo and speed. The bass guitar, harp and drums altogether works superbly. Other fine cuts that I also enjoy are “I Put You First” “I’m Leavin’ You, "Sad Sad Day", and "I Turn to You".
